Enrollment

Application for the 2012-2013 School Year

The Green School of Baltimore is a tuition-free public charter school. Any resident of Baltimore City is eligible to enroll. If there are more applications than slots for students at each grade level, enrollment for that grade will be determined by a public lottery.

Enrollment: The Green School of Baltimore follows the enrollment period for charter schools as set by BCPSS. We will accept applications for the 2012-2013 school year from December 1, 2011 until February 17, 2012.  Applications must be received by the close of business February 17.

Information on the Lottery: If the number of children intending to enroll in The Green School of Baltimore exceeds the number of available spaces, students will be selected for admission through a lottery. During the lottery, names will be drawn by grade. Spaces will be offered in the order of names drawn, with every attempt to accommodate siblings. Remaining names will be placed in order of draw on the waiting list. If the number of applicants for a given grade does not exceed the number of available spaces, all applicants for that grade will be offered admission to the school. The lottery, overseen by BCPSS, will be held after February 17, 2012.

Information Sessions: We will hold several Information Sessions for families interested in learning more about The Green School. These sessions will be held during the school day, so we can accommodate a limited number of people at each session. Please plan to leave your children at home. If you are interested in attending a session, call the school (410-488-5312) to reserve a spot.
